David Cahn to Chair MSBA's Business Law Section Council

Whiteford is pleased to announce that David Cahn was recently elected Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association's Business Law Section Council for a one-year term. He previously served as the Section’s Secretary and Vice-Chair.
 
Mr. Cahn has been practicing in the area of franchise law for over 25 years.  He has a national franchise practice representing both franchisors and franchisees across industries, including advertising, fitness, education, transportation, home improvements, restaurants and boating.  He has been recognized as a "Legal Eagle" by Franchise Times Magazine.
 
The MSBA Business Law Section brings together members who share a special interest in the fields of corporation, capital raising, and business law; furthers the study, development, and improvement of the law applicable thereto, including through legislative advocacy; and sponsors programs throughout the year covering topics of general interest to corporation, securities, and transactional lawyers.  In addition, the substantive law committees include unincorporated associations (such as limited liability companies); franchising, distribution & antitrust; uniform commercial code; technology & data privacy; and international law.
